Free PA/Phonics Screeners and Consolidation Flashcards
I have developed a resource called a PA/Phonics Remediation Pack – please email me if you would like a copy. It is designed to help teachers manage and address learning gaps from PA to advanced phonics at the classroom level. It contains nine one page quick screeners based on a Phonological Awareness Instructional Framework developed by the North East Language Development Centre in WA.
The way it works is that the teacher moves through each one page screener with the student until the starting level for PA remediation is identified. Each level has flashcards to instruct, practice and consolidate the learning required. The student can then advance through the PA material sequentially as each level is consolidated. If more practise is required at any level, the person conducting the folder session can easily substitute new examples for each flashcard.
Usually this comes as a physical pack with a CD containing the flashcards, but all the PA flashcards are all located in the Foundation English section of the Flashcard Club for members.
